One of the key features of these catheters is their colour-coded casing. This allows for immediate identification of the catheter size, making the process quick and efficient. Additionally, the robust casing maximises the protection of the catheter during transportation, ensuring that it arrives at your clinic in pristine condition.

The SOL-VET™ IV catheters also come with a translucent hub and chamber, allowing for easy visualisation of blood flashback. This feature ensures accurate placement of the catheter, which is essential for successful IV therapy. Moreover, the catheter is radio-opaque, making it easy to locate using X-rays.

The precision-finished PTFE catheter allows for a smooth insertion and minimises the risk of catheter peel-back and kinking. This ensures that the catheter remains in place during use, reducing the risk of complications. Additionally, the catheter features a hydrophobic membrane filter that prevents blood leakage during insertion. The filter cap can also be removed to allow connection with a syringe to assist insertion.

Finally, the catheter may be plugged temporarily by removing the hydrophobic filter cap and placing it in the Luer Lock hub. This feature ensures that the catheter remains secure during transportation, reducing the risk of dislodgement.
