The sterile scalpels are individually packaged into a new transparent thermo formed tray providing improved product visibility and developed to assist in safe passing techniques. When peeling the packet the seal changes colour thus indicating if the integrity of the packet has been breached and assuring the user of sterility up to the point of usage. The traditional carbon steel sterile standard stitch cutter with its rounded bull nose tip ensures there is no damage to the skin whilst the surgical edge cuts through the suture with minimal resistance. The long stitch cutter allows for a more aseptic technique by operating further away from the actual wound which also permits better visibility Pack of 100 Instructions: Although the Stitch Cutters are simple to use it is essential that all staff are both familiar and confident in using them. If necessary clean the area thoroughly with an appropriate solution. Hold the free end of the suture then slide under the Stitch Cutter so it lies flat to the patient's skin. Rotate the stitch cutter gently upwards so that the cutting edge contacts the suture material as close as possible to where it enters the skin.
