Activated Charcoal Dressing Non-Absorbent

An activated charcoal dressing which is non-absorbent.

Malodour occurs as a result of bacterial metabolism and the production of volatile fatty acids. Activated charcoal dressings such as this one adsorb these toxins thus removing the malodour from the wound.

• A sterile activated charcoal cloth dressing
• Can be used to control odour on both moderately and lightly exuding wounds (if lightly exuding, use with addition of a separate primary dressing to prevent adherence)
• Not indicated as a primary dressing for dry wounds 
• The polyamide coating stops the dressing from adhering to the wound surface and fibres from coming away from the dressing
  
• It can be used either side down
• Soft and flexible and can be cut to conform to curved body sites
• Can be reused for up to a week
• Cut to size without loss of performance
